Hey Everyone-
I have been receiving more and more emails as the season quickly approaches! Here is some information that might be helpful.
Monday October 30th– We will have our Pre-Season meeting for any girls 7th-12th grade hoping to join our high school team for the 2017-2018 season! This meeting will be for parents and athletes and just give an overview of the season. It will be at 6pm at Somerset Elementary in the IMC. Reminder that the high school team consists of current 7th-12th grade girls.
Wednesday November 8th and Thursday November 9th– Equipment Setup! Wednesday we will meet there after school 3:30/4pm- 6pm. We will plan on finishing Thursday afternoon from 3pm-5pm. We will most likely need all this time, so plan on being there for both days. All girls planning on joining the high school team (7th-12th graders) should be there. Parents are welcome as well! The more people we have, the quicker it goes!
Monday November 13th- FIRST DAY: Let the season begin! Be in the gym dressed ready to go at 3:45pm.
I have had a lot of inquiries about try-outs and joining our team. Try-Outs will be Monday the 13th and Tuesday the 14th during the first week of practice. You will be notified at the end of Tuesday’s practice your status on the team. Depending on how many girls come for those try-outs, that will determine the amount of spots on our team. Remember that this is a competitive team, and it is very different from recreational gymnastics. Previous experience is necessary if you hope to compete and represent Sibley on the JV or Varsity Team. Further questions or inquiries about this, contact me directly.
Flips for Kids Program– These classes will start after Thanksgiving Break. Flyers went out in Friday Folders last friday. Please keep an eye out for them in your daughter’s backpack. Reminder that these classes are for girls only, as we do not have the equipment to support boys gymnastics. Classes will be Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesday nights and time will depend on your daughters level.
